Naps, Walks, required creativity

Daily writing prompt
What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life?

I am a very busy person. I am currently doing my masters and working at the same time and I have financial goals to meet by next year. So taking care of my sanity is very necessary for me.

Napping is underrated in America. I do hear that in some asian countries, they normalize naps during the work day, which is so awesome for your sanity. In america we idolize working so hard that we lack sleep and basic needs. Maybe some people love this, but I cannot sustain this, so personally, I have a job where I can control my schedule and take 10-30 minute naps when I am able to. This helps me get through the day and give my best self to everyone.

I have been talking my cat on walks every single day, even though it is so hot outside. I have anxiety leaving my only cat alone ever since my other cat passed away in April, so I am training her to come everywhere with me. Now she is okay with the stroller and does not dislike it. I keep it open inside all day, and I had bought a cat carrier purse as well, so I can bring her into stores and shopping. I am also going to get a backpack to take her out on hikes as well. But disconnecting from your phone and your responsibilities to be present really helps your mental health.

Creativity is what inspires you and gives you energy. So I make sure whether it is blogging, singing, social media, I make sure to do these things so that I feel fulfilled in my heart.

I do workout everyday, but that is more of a disciplined act in order for me to sleep well and my body to not strain. So I guess that increases my comfortability because it makes life easier to live.

I’m Elle

From being depressed and bed ridden to thriving in life with no example, I monitored and observed my own behavior, and essentially changed my life by tracking my thoughts and behaviors. This is what I learned.
